Has anyone had any luck with fitting a larger 8" speaker into the the doors of an s60? I am planning my system right now. I'm going to go with a fully active 2 way plus sub. I have the amp, sub and head unit but I was hoping to get a nice 8" mid and either a seas neo tweeter or maybe some other larger format home audio tweeter.

My dad has a 1990 460. He has the standard radio, a VC 602, which in now faulty.

My nephew has given him an old CD player to replace the broken one but we do not know how to get the old radio out.

We also dont have any of the original handbooks to check up on either.

Hello. I installed the PA-11 VOL iPod adaptor on my 2004 V40. It connects to the ipod fine and plays the music well, but it doesn't charge the ipod. I think I tapped the wrong wire for the constant power line. I tapped into the yellow wire. Does anyone have information about which wire is the constant power wire. What i would like to know is what the different colour wires mean on the wiring loom for the radio.
I would like to wire in a TV screen as well as a cd player but is does not just plug in like the looms do and i have to splice into the aftersales loom.

We just bought a 2007 XC70 from local dealer. There's a 3.5 mm "port" in the inside of the center front armrest. The dealer told us it was for plugging in your MP3 player or IPOD and hearing the music thru the stereo.

Recently bought a 2004 S40 LSE. I've noticed over the past few days that the passenger side rear speaker is rattling and seems to be getting worse. I don't think I blew the speaker.

Any suggestions?

Also, I don't think my rear defroster is working. I haven't had time to check that out yet.

My FM reception is fine as long as 'Stereo' is displayed on radio ... however, when 'Stereo' display flickers, or is absent - the FM sound output is scratchy, slurred.

Does anyone know if this can be corrected by replacing a component in radio? Or is radio replacement necessary? I have a 1996 850 (non turbo) with basic radio / cassette player.

I bought a 2007 s60 T5 and the dealer is installing my Sirius for me. I was told the antenna will be mounted on the inside of the rear window and the exterior of the car both. Two different people.

Does anyone have any pictures of dealer installed Sirius antennas?

Looking to buy one door speaker (8" woofer w/ separate 3" tweeter) for an S60R with the Premium sound system. Out of the Volvo OEM online parts suppliers I know of, VLVworld is the only one I can find with them & they're asking $360.....therefore I'm afraid to contact my local volvo dealer for their price. I have an 01 S60 with the base system. I am going to swap the front door speakers with JBL and was wondering what the difference is between getting 2ohm vs. 4ohm speakers? My factory speakers sound horrible if you crank up the volume.

Also, is it ok to disconnect the battery while doing this...it won't ask for a radio security code?

Alright, so here's my situation: I'm looking to install a pair of 12" subs in the back of my 2001 Volvo S80. I know in order to install these subs, I'm also have to going to buy a new amp. I was considering just buying the stuff and taking into a shop, but from what I'm hearing, if you don't buy the parts at the shop, the installation prices run kind of high.

For anyone interested in implementing a clean and accessible setup for their iPhones or iPods.

Because I'm too cheap to buy an iPod adapter, I just went with the tape deck instead. Sound quality is actually quite decent. If you want to incorporate your iPod adapter you still can.

You'll have to forgo the docking station that came with your iPhone but a replacement...

First Post here just got me new S60 D5 Se Lux which states in all the lit that it's stereo is MP3 compatable but nothing will play, it works fine with standard Audio Cd and burt versions of the same but MP3 just get CD Error!

HAve tried different recoders open and closed cd session but nothing..

My friend and i just bought a white '91 volvo 740, and we think it has the original radio in it. we got the code number from the dealership, but when we turn the radio on, it just says EEE, and none of the buttons change it or do anything. if you turn the radio volume up as high as it goes, you can here some faint stations though. any idea what the EEE is?

I have just bought an HU 803 radio and centre speaker for my car 2001 V70 and having removed my HU613 unit I notice I have a green, one large grey and one small grey connector in the rear . The HU803 has only the green connector and smaller grey connector?

Do I need any additional wiring loom bits etc or will it plug in without the grey connector and work? I don't...

i have a hu850 6 disk cd changer. i had six disks loaded when it got a error message. i got all the disks out except 1 and 3. the system wouldnt eject or play or load anymore. i have had the unit replaced at the dealer under warranty, but they are saying not to use backups or copies in the unit as they are not compatible and would result in me having to replace the unit again within 3 months.

hi there, i want to see if it is ok to use h7 100w daytime bulbs in my 2001 s40 instead of the h7 55w. i do a lot of night driving and more light on the road would be great, but dont want to have to call fire service !!!!

I have used VADIS for several years to get maintenance data on my various Volvos and now have a fault code reader (£15 off ebay) to assist in diagnosis.

However it would be alot easier to plug my laptop into the car. Does any one know how to make up a lead to connect OBD2 to USB or serial ports.

When my wife took the car out this morning, the Ipod adapter was working fine. On the way home it no longer worked. The Ipod works fine on its own but the Volvo Ipod adapter has stopped registering the CD changer. There is power going through the cable to the Ipod itself. I own a Volvo V40 car. It has 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers and a subwoofer that is coupled to the rear speakers. That is: the level of the subwoofer is controlled together with the level of the rears: rears louder means...

When I was looking around on Crutchfield, and I entered my car, it says it has 5-1/4" speakers. Fine. It shows front door, rear door, and rear deck. Problem is there aren't speakers in the rear deck. I have them in the dash, front door, and rear door. Also, for each category, it shows different speakers. Won't any 5-1/4" work?

I'm trying to find suitable replacements for the stock speakers in my 93 960 wagon. 3 of the 4 door speakers are DOA. I have no issue drilling them out (right side are out now) but I have no clue what speakers will fit. The hole positions are a little off from the one set I did try.
Any help would be much appreciated.
