OEM Ipod adapter appears generic and will fit all S60, S80, V70, XC70 models. The kit comes with Ipod Owners Manual and The installation manual (posted) and instructions are pretty good as you can see. I have posted additional picture for those who are interested in attempting this installation themselves.

Construction of ipod housing in S80 center console.
Instead of drilling a hole in the existing recessed CD holder, I removed it completely (Fig.1) and constructed a new housing. To remove, insert screwdriver, push down and lift.

Hello guys this is my 1st Volvo *1994 960* and my 1st post. it seems that crutchfield are the only ones who carry the proper aftermarket adapter plate (as the one made by metra autoworks works only with the OEM radio for some odd reason.)

However, anyone here who has installed an aftermarket radio, do you know of anyone else, or the company that makes plates that adapt to modern head units?

I just picked up an 05 s60. I'd love to not use an fm transmitter for my ipod, and I saw the USA SPEC PA11-vol adapter, which looks nice. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what effect installing this would have on the warranty? i have install a rti dvd navigation system on my S60 ( i buy this system from a incident v70).

When i start car the indash monitor popup and display a complete white screen. When i stop car after 5 second the indash monitor go off and popdown.

Last week I got my new V70 T6 with the integrated Bluetooth phone. It works fine with my HTC Tytn II but not all contacts are being synced.

What is the maximum number of contacs which will be synced?

If I reached the maximum, is it possible to increase the memory?

My ipod adaptor just stopped working. My radio does not give me the option to use the "cd changer" any longer. When I plug the ipod in it lights up, which I think indicates that it is getting power.

Anyone have an thoughts on where the problem could be? I'd hate to have to take it in to the deal for them to fix. That would probably cost as much as the adapter did.

The stock AM/FM cassette radio in my '93 240 works fine in AM, when I switch to FM the sound is very low and garbled. Actually, you have to turn the volume up all of the way to hear it. Can anyone suggest what's wrong? Do I have to replace both the radio and the amplifier?

Well I have had my 2008 XC70 for less than a week and already it has been in for repair only to have service department say "cannot duplicate problem". The problem is the SIRIUS radio! The radio will work fine but then without warning you shut off car come back (1) the pre-sets are all default to traffic channel (2) you spin through channels and the text indicator never shows...

I am waiting for my new S40 with an IPod/USB interface, now I do not own, nor want to, own a IPod. So I ordered it for a 2.5 inch USB powered external harddisc.
Its a 120GB FAT32 storage device.

Help. I am hoping I have a fuse problem. My headlights, power windows, rear window heater, and my heated seats and shifter are not working. I have to depress the by-pass to get the car in gear. This happened before and I couldn't get the windows up! It resolved itself.
