Just got a letter from Volvo NA stating that they are extending the warranty on the ETM to 10 years or 200K miles. They also state that I should schedule a software upgrade with the dealer and enclosed a letter you can mail in if you already have had the ETM repaired. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

I recently bought a 2004 S60 2.5T AWD with black exterior, what fun! Unfortunately, the coil spring inside the remote key that the dealer gave me is either removed or broken. So the key just limps out of the remote and the aluminum button that should release the key like a switch blade does nothing.

Power steering pumped groaned. Replaced. New one groans a little less loudly. Barely noticeable at idle, VERY noticeable while turning steering wheel. Not to be critical of Volvo which is a good and safe car, but compared to some of the Hondas I've owned and friends Toyotas, Acuras and Lexuses, there seems to be far more problems.

I have a 2004 C70 with 6K miles left on the original 50K miles warranty. I know these cars are expensive to repair and I'm not mechanically inclined. Could someone recommend an extended warranty package that covers everything the original warranty covered that won't cost more then the car?
