had the opportunity today to take my 740 on the rolling road.

bearing in mind she is 18 years old, auto gearbox, 2 litre k-jet engine - i was expecting around 70hp after losing 20 to the box and about 10-15 due to age.

she surprised me and everyone there by putting out 81.8hp @ 4700 rpm with just shy of 100 foot pounds torque. (at rear wheels) 101.6 at the flywheel.

I notice that US cars can rack up some incredible miles and still be running compared to the UK . I used to have a Mazda 626 and oil/filter change in the UK owners manual said every 10,000 miles(nearly all UK cars are 10k),the US manual recommends every 3000

ok for those of you that knwo and have seen some of my posts you may have noticed that the spelling leaves a little ot be desired for.

I would just like to point out that i am not suffering from any form of dyslexia that otherwise may be attributed to this behaviour (no offence to those that have).

I know a bad workman blames his tools, but how can you not blame the tools...
