on my 2005 the lid to the cup holders on the center console is stuck. I removed a black cover piece in the rear of the console which gave me access to 2 torx screws, but I am still not able to pull out the assembly. Has anyone had this problem? How did you fix it? Has anyone had success removing the cup holders? how did you do it? Is there a manual available to provide assistance?

I recently bought a set of xenon gas bulbs from ebay that I plan to change for the standard bulbs.

has anyone tried this and what were your results?

I kind of remember someone telling me that the bulbs are potentially not good in...

it is claimed to be combined city and hwy driving of 9L/100KM (26mpg)

but I am getting only 10.7L/100KM (22mpg)

MPG in US gallons

is this the norm for the diesel or should I be concerned?

We're considering trading in our '06 XC70--which has been the best of the 3 Volvos I've owned--for an '08 XC90 V8 simply because we could use the extra seats. I recently installed an aftermarket HID headlights conversion kit on my 2004 XC90. The new HID headlights work great. Hello, both plastic headlights of my 04 XC90 are showing serious signs of corrosion. It may be from the California sun. All the other plastic elements of the car (taillights for example) show no signs of this corrosion. The dealer calls this wear and tear, but this seems to me like poor choice of materials for plastic headlamps.

I've taken a look at the ipod interface install instrucitons and it says that it only support the 2007 / 2008 XC90.

Does anyone know if this is correct and if so what is preventing it from supporting the 2006? I have an '06 and would like to install it.

This is the question! The doubt is between volvo xc90 and lexus rx400.
We do not cover more than 10kmiles per year, mostly in the city but go skiing on weekends, which means driving uphill for miles to reach Crans Montana in the Swiss Alps with snow and ice.

I just purchased a 2006 XC90 with only 16k miles on it. However it seems that these were a pretty rough 16k miles, as the plastic trim around the drivers seats is cracked and broken (right above the seat controls).
